HOW IT WORKS

Orders and distributions are handled by church host sites. Orders are collected by host sites during the first part of each month. These orders are then turned in to the Angel Food main office in Monroe, Georgia, on a predetermined date. Several days later, in the same month, the host site picks up the food from Angel Food's 160,000 square foot warehouse to fill on distribution day. Because this ministry is growing nationwide, food is delivered to the host site by a pre-arranged delivery mode. In most cases, as long as there is a truck headed in the direction of the community who wanted this program and sees its ministry influence, there are no extra transportation costs.

SIOUX FALLS HOST SITE

Calvary Assembly of God, located at 2101 East 57th Street, is the Sioux Falls host site. See January menu enclosed in newsletter.

January Online Deadline: January 14

On-Site order Deadline: January 13                      (Now available with Visa/MasterCard/Discover/Amex and Debit cards) plus cash, check, money order or food stamps.

Distribution Date: January 23                                  12:00pm - 1:30pm at Calvary Assembly of God. Need to bring your receipt to pick up your box(s). It's helpful if you can bring a large box if you ordered a Signature Box.

Food not picked up during the scheduled distribution time will be donated to a local charity or families in need.

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994, with a heart to help others and a generous spirit, Joe and Linda Wingo founded Angel Food Ministries to provide food for friends and neighbors who were struggling financially due to recent industrial plant closings. The program began with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia. Today the Angel Food programs help provide food relief to more than 500,000 families in 35 states each month.

BLESSINGS BY THE BOX

Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with and average retail of approximately $60. Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality on could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

EVERYONE QUALIFIES

There is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or income restrictions or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamps program, using the Off-line Food.
